Laboratory developed test coverage expanded for TRICARE beneficiaries

The Defense Health Agency added 32 tests to its Evaluation of Non-United States Food and Drug Administration Approved Laboratory Developed Tests Demonstration Project. The demonstration, which covered 41 tests before the new additions, allows TRICARE to review tests not examined by the Food and Drug Administration to determine if they are safe and effective for use.
