Uniformed Services University Awarded 4.5 Million for Breast Cancer Study

The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) of the National Institutes of Health today announced the award of $4.5 million to the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU) and Georgetown University to study the impact of environmental metal and metalloid exposures on mammographic breast density, a marker of breast cancer.

Miller recognized for Health IT efforts

Miller received HIMSS Health IT Federal Leadership Award along with David Bowen, director of the DHA Health Information Technology directorate, for their work in consolidating, streamlining and standardizing health information technology services in support of the long-term success of Military Health System IT resources.

Continued Education Update II: Postgraduate Institute of Medicine Bio/Disclosure Information and Requirements

As many of you know, effective 29 June, 2015, the DoD PSP team switched to a new Continuing Education and accreditation partner: the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine. As a part of this transition and our new CE accreditation agreement, we must follow strict requirements from PIM as well as all the individual accreditation organizations who grant CE credits.
