this is FYI

Dear colleagues,

Please plan to join Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval and Under Secretary Allison Hickey of the federal VA for the launch of Nevada’s Green Zone Initiative.  The event will take place on August 14 in Las Vegas—more details below.  Please take a very brief moment to register here—and feel free to share this messagewith others who might be interested in registering, too.

Over the last year, you have probably heard us talk about the Green Zone Initiative.  You have probably helped us shape the effort as well.  We have worked hard to make the Green Zone Initiative an effort that maximizes our potential to serve Nevada’s veterans in terms of wellnessemployment, and education, and we believe that we have developed an effort that is both unique to Nevada and a model for the rest of the country.  Most important, we have greatly appreciated your collaboration in our effort.

On August 14th of this year, we will move from the planning phase of this initiative to the action phase.  We will be unveiling the Green Zone Network, our new social networking site, formalizing our Veteran Community Councils, launching workforcewellness, and higher education initiatives, and more.  Perhaps most important, we will be seeking opportunities to improve our effort and to work closely with service organizationsservice providers, and community partners

While this is scheduled to take most of the day, please feel free to attend any portion of the day.  We recommend the morning session, as it will provide the most information.  Again, please consider taking a moment to register here.

I have provided specific details on the event below, but please do not hesitate to contact me directly if I can provide more information or clarification.

Sincerely,

Caleb Cage
