Virtual Hope Box puts suicide prevention tools at users' fingertips

One of the tools used in suicide prevention is a hope box—a container with user-selected items that help those who are stressed to cope with tough times. A hope box might contain a letter or email, a photo of special times and loved ones, or inspirational quotes; anything that can lift spirits. But carrying around a shoebox can be impractical, which is why a smartphone app has been developed that keeps those same resources close at hand for those in need.
